Sharing God's Word Across Borders and Generations
A Legacy of Faith and Service
Spanish Missions began in 1971 when Larry and Judy White answered the call to share the Gospel in El Salvador. For the next ten years, they devoted their lives to evangelism, teaching, and strengthening Christian communities throughout Central and South America.
When a serious illness affected Larry's voice, the couple was forced to return to the United States. Although his voice eventually returned, doctors advised him against returning to the mission field. Rather than allowing this setback to end his ministry, Larry discovered a new way to continue sharing God's Word.
For more than 40 years, he dedicated himself to writing Bible correspondence courses and developing educational resources to equip Spanish-speaking preachers, teachers, and individuals seeking to grow in their faith. What began as a mission in El Salvador grew into a lasting ministry of biblical education and discipleship.
Expanding the Mission Through Technology
In 2008, Chase Turner began working alongside Larry to expand the reach of Spanish Missions by making Bible courses and study materials available online. This transition opened the door for people throughout the world to access biblical teaching, regardless of their location or access to traditional ministry resources. By 2022, more than 292 million Bible studies had been downloaded over 14 years, demonstrating the extraordinary reach of this ministry and the opportunities technology provides for sharing the Gospel. For more than 25 years, Spanish Missions operated under the oversight of the Jackson Street Church of Christ, with faithful support from churches of Christ throughout Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, and beyond. Their dedication and partnership helped sustain and expand the ministry across generations.
Continuing the Mission Through IRC
As Larry's health declined, ensuring the future of Spanish Missions became an important priority. Inter-American Restoration Corporation (IRC) gratefully accepted the responsibility of overseeing this ministry, helping preserve its legacy while creating opportunities for continued growth. Today, Spanish Missions remains committed to making biblical education accessible to Spanish-speaking individuals and communities throughout the United States and around the world. Through online resources, Bible studies, and partnerships with congregations, the ministry continues the work Larry and Judy began more than five decades ago.

Equipping Christians. Strengthening Congregations. Sharing the Gospel.
Biblical Education for Everyone
Not everyone who desires to deepen their biblical knowledge or prepare for ministry has the time or resources to attend a traditional preacher training school. Spanish Missions helps bridge that gap by providing free, accessible Bible courses and educational resources to Spanish-speaking individuals around the world. Our self-paced courses allow students to study whenever and wherever it is convenient for them. Each course includes written lessons, audio instruction, and assessments designed to strengthen biblical understanding and encourage spiritual growth. From foundational Bible studies for new believers to advanced courses exploring Revelation, the Holy Spirit, Christian unity, and other important biblical topics, our resources serve individuals at every stage of their spiritual journey. Students who successfully complete their coursework receive a diploma recognizing their achievement. More importantly, they are encouraged to put their knowledge into practice by teaching others and sharing the Gospel in their own communities.
Strengthening Congregations and Expanding Outreach
Beyond individual Bible education, Spanish Missions works alongside congregations to establish and strengthen Spanish-language outreach programs throughout the United States. Since 2023, Spanish Missions has partnered with Herald of Truth through MESA (Mission Evangelism Spanish America), an initiative focused on equipping Hispanic Christians in the United States to evangelize and serve Hispanic communities. Through biblical resources, practical training, and ministry partnerships, we help congregations develop outreach efforts that encourage discipleship, strengthen local churches, and create opportunities to share the Gospel. Whether your congregation is beginning a Spanish-language ministry or looking to expand an existing program, Spanish Missions welcomes the opportunity to partner with you.
