The InterAmerican Restoration Corporation (IRC) exists to improve the lives of people in underserved communities by connecting them with resources, opportunities, and people who care.
Our work is guided by three priorities:
Provide Resources. Build Relationships. Develop Communities.
Providing Resources | Meet the Basic Need
Sometimes meaningful change begins with something very practical- a safe place to live, food for a family, clean water, medical care, an education, or the opportunity to learn a skill.
IRC helps connect individuals, communities, and local programs with the resources they need to address those challenges.
That support can take many forms, from funding and supplies to volunteers, professional expertise, organizational assistance, and partnerships with people who share a desire to serve.
The need may look different from community to another, but the goal remains the same:
use the resources available to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
Building Relationships | Creating Lasting Connections
Resources can meet a need. Relationships can change what happens next.
IRC believes effective service begins by listening. Rather than assuming we know what a community needs, we seek to work alongside local leaders, families organizations, and programs that understand their communities best.
Those relationships allow us to learn, adapt, and respond, in ways that are both practical are respectful.
They also remind us that the people we serve are never simply projects or statistics. They are individuals and families with abilities, ideas, goals, and hopes for their future.
Every person matters, and every person deserves to know they have not been forgotten.
Developing Communities | Creating Opportunities for the Future
Meeting today’s need is important, but whenever possible, IRC wants that investment to create opportunities beyond today.
Education can prepare a child for the future. Vocational training can lead to employment. Medical care can allow someone to return to work or school. A home can provide stability for a family. Community facilities can create places where people learn, gather, receive care, and grow.
That is why we look beyond individual projects and consider how resources and relationships can contribute to the long-term strength of a community.
We do not define success simply by what we build, provide, or give away. We want to see people equipped with greater opportunity and communities increasingly able to build upon what has already been started.
Provide Resources. Build Relationships. Develop Communities.
Together, these priorities allow IRC to meet the needs today while helping create opportunities for tomorrow.
