IRC Food Projects
One of the most basic needs of all life is the need for food. InterAmerican Restoration Corporation helps meet that basic need by providing food and hunger relief programs in both rural and urban areas of Honduras. IRC purchases fresh fruit and vegetables in Tegucigalpa’s open air market and then delivers them in large buckets to families in some of the city’s poorest neighborhoods.
Special Food Projects
IRC also responds to extraordinary needs, such as the Covid-19 crisis. During this time period, IRC passed out food to many of the communities in both Honduras and Guatemala. Our contacts on the ground are giving food out weekly, giving people two weeks of food at a time.
