The Microsoft Corporation joined IRC in 2013 to build homes for the homeless. Microsoft provided the funds, and IRC/TORCH teams did the physical labor of building the homes.
In 2013, IRC installed volcano stoves with every house they built. These stoves run on very little wood for a long time, and the outside never becomes hot, so children and adults are safe from being burned. They are also smokeless, so they can be run in the house.
