IRC Building Projects
InterAmerican Restoration Corporation supports a variety of construction projects, including home building, school and church construction, and water well drilling. The primary goal of all our construction projects is to improve the quality of life for poor families in a tangible way. Many of the homes we build are for single mothers and families who have significantly substandard shelter or no shelter at all. IRC partners with several different organizations in providing both the resources and the manpower for each project. In many cases, we partner directly with the community itself in these projects, giving them ownership in the process and sharing the joy of the completed work.
For the past 20 years, InterAmerican Restoration Corporation has partnered with TORCH Missions to provide homes for people in some of Honduras’ poorest communities. To date, IRC and TORCH have built more than 1,000 homes. While the homes are not much in comparison to the typical American home, the solid wood structures provide essential long term shelter for families who had very little before.

Schools, Clinics and Churches
Houses aren’t the only thing that IRC builds in Honduras. We have also helped build schools, churches and even medical clinics. From a children’s home, medical clinic and church in Santa Ana to six new school buildings in Diamante, IRC has built a variety of buildings to improve life physically, mentally and spiritually for the thousands of people. IRC also helped remodel a women’s training center called Mi Esperanza in the heart of Tegucigalpa.
