IRC Continues to Feed the People of Guatemala
As the Covid-19 pandemic continues, IRC continues its support in Guatemala, by donating more funds to help the Street Kids Direct Ministry, run by Dunc Dyason, in Guatemala City to help feed the people who are starving.
Nearly 70% of Guatemalans earn a precarious living in the unregulated informal economy, living day to day and more than 60% of the population lives in poverty and the country has one of the highest rates of childhood malnutrition in the world. The coronavirus lockdown has created consequences to their economy, and now the people of Guatemala have begun carrying white flags to signify their current state of starvation and needing of food (full details in article link below).
